Woman in grave dug by suspected separatists Facebook
Civil Society Organisations, political figures and the entire society are in rage after a video showing gun men suspected to be fighters with the Ambazonia Defence Forces, bury a woman alive.

The video which has left many in shock occurred in Batibo, North West region of Cameroon. It is not customary for the people of North West to bury any human alive, despite the crime he/she commits, reasons why many are in disbelief.

A footage of 2.17 seconds, where the fighters in masks, speaking in their mother tongue identified as Moghamo, ask their victim in the grave to declare out loud that no one who betrays the struggle will go out of Guzang (a community in Batibo) unpunished.

About three of the fighters take the lead in speaking the dialect and pidgin-English, debating if she should be buried alive or not. The victim, seemingly tortured, doesn’t react to their torture.

The scene appears to have about 3 males speaking in pidgin and Moghamo dialect. One guy is heard asking that the victim should be buried alive while others dispute to say, she might later on escape.

The team leader proposed that in order not to let her escape, they should kill her first before burial. A little amount of soil was thrown on her body, following a typical burial process.

They declare a “Rest In Peace “ in her and one of the boys shoots the woman. It is unclear if she could survive or was actually dead at that point but the commander remarked, “it has gone through”.

Shortly after shooting their victim, they pour out satisfactorily laughter to the mark their vengeance.

The South West/North West Women Task Force have issued a statement, asking for justice for the said victim. Political figure, Prince Ekosso has also condemned the at, calling it barbaric.
