The United States as well as some other internattional organisations, seem not pleased with the outcome of the Major National Dialogue, which has resulted to more violence since delegatess declared it a success on October 4.

While condemning the recent brutal execution of the Bamenda Prison Wardress, Ayafor Florence, the United States Embassy in Cameroon called on both parties involved in the war to stop new violent acts and hold a dialogue without preconditions.

" More violence is not the solution. We are calling on all parties involved in the conflict in the regions of North West and South West, to restrain from new acts of violence and embark on an open dialogue without preconditions", said the embassy in a press statement.

In the press statement issued by the US Embassy in Yaounde, on Friday October 10, it expressed condelence to the bereaved families, it called on Cameroonian authorities to open an investigation on the brutal murder of Ayafor Florence, and bring to book the culprits.

Opinion holds that for the US to request a fresh dialogue, it is an indirect way to say the Major National Dialogue organised between September 30 to October 4, at the Yaounde conference centre wouldn't yield any fruits.

Despite the grandeur of the event, acts of violence were still recorded as delegates were debating, as well as few hours after they presented recommendations.

Critics indicated that the dialogue failed from day one as Anglophones already complained of the inclusion of delegates from other regions, as well as the inclusion of a majority of delegates from the ruling CPDM party, and the government in the eight commisions.

Federalism which some opinion leaders and political parties had expressed the desire to see it tabled and recommended, was kicked out of the dialogue. The Social Democratic Front party believed federalism culd calm down tensions in the Anglophone regions.

There was no guarantee that secessionists invited to attend the dialogue, wouldn't be arrested, hence they all boycotted. They also asked for the release of their brothers and leaders, which government didn't fulfill.
