Fouda Etaba Benoit Nicaise is the new Senior Divisional Officer for Momo, in the North West region. He was appointed by President Paul Biya in a decree signed on Monday October 7.

Mr. Fouda, is the Divisional Officer which separatists announced all over Cameroon and the international community that he had been kidnapped by their forces, meanwhile they had rather taken the division's superintendent of prison. He takes over from Absalom Monono Wolua, who moves over to Mbam and Inoubou division of the Centre region.

The news of his appointment has been applauded by some residents in the locality who believe it is well merited. The newly appointed SDO once served in Momo division, as the first assistant SDO for Momo, was later promoted to the Divisional Officer of Mbengwi, the headquarter of Momo Dvision, and now SDO of Momo.

Four other changes took place in the North West region, following this decree. The Secretary General at the governor's office, Lanyuy Harry has been promoted to the SDO of Bui, Abdoulahi Aliou takes over Menchum Division, Mooh Emile Simon is the new boss of Mezam, and Quetong Handeson as SDO of Ngoketunjia.

In the South West, two major changes took place. The SDO of Kupe Muanenguba is Mr. Tchakui Noundie, while Lebialem Division is led by Mungambo Ekema William.

The North West and South West regions are currently going through insecurity threats, which remains a major challenge to the newly appointed officials.
