The Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Prof. Ngomo Horace, is currently on a hot seat, after he signed a latter which was read of CRTV Buea, calling on three lecturers of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, to report to work or face the consequences.

One of the lecturers concerned, Dr Julius Che Rita is amongst those whom the Vice Chancellor says haven't been showing up for work and would be sacked for abandonment of duty.

Dr. Julius Che Rita has reacted to the radio announcement, calling it an embarrassment to his personality, giving evidence to his effective presence at work.

In a document circulating over social media, Dr Che Rita said the announcement said it was disrespectful to his person and puts his name to shame.

He narrated situations where he had followed instructions of the current head of Department, Kingsley Ngange and stated under no circumstances has he ever failed to do his work, especially supervision duties.

Few days ago, many ex students of the Department were shocked by the scandal whereby their lecturers including the founder of the department, Enoh Tanjong's names were read over the Regional Radio station.

To many, this comes to affirm reports about an ongoing cold war between lecturers of the Department if Journalism and Mass Communication, although the accused lecturers haven’t opened up to the press.

It is possible that if the Vice Chancellor doesn’t apologise, Dr. Che Rita might take the case to court in order to clear off his name.
