The disappearance has been announced of HRM Sintieh II Ngum Martin Yuosembom, Fon of Oku

The Royal Father of Oku, Bui Division of Cameroon's North-West Region transited into eternity Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Viang Mekali, Secretary General at the North-West Governor's Office said Fon Sintieh II succumbed to an illness at the Bamenda Regional Hospital.

"The Governor of the North-West Region on behalf of the Minister of Territorial Administration has the profound regret to announce the sudden disappearance of the Fon of Oku, HRM Sintieh II Ngum Martin Yuosembom who passed unto glory in the night of 6th May 2021 at the Bamenda Regional Hospital after a protracted illness," Viang Mekali, Secretary-General at the North-West Governor's Office said.

"Following this sad event, he hereby extends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Oku Community, while extending the solicitude of the Head of State, the Government and the entire Administration which the deceased served with professionalism and abnegation."

The press release dated May 7 read further: "The Governor of the North-West Region extends his regards to the Fons of the North-West Region for the loss of their peer whose contributions to maintain sustainable peace, for the promotion of our cultural and traditional values were prominent."

HRM Sintieh II Ngum Martin Yuosembom, the second class traditional ruler of Oku succeeded Fon Ngum III who journeyed to eternity in April 2006.
