He was talking during an interview over Crtv on Sunday morning, where he said political parties have the right to boycott elections but these parties may run into problems when they go about convincing others to join their race.

He noted that some of these political parties are notorious in their actions and fail to respect the laws of the republic.

Government forces have been falling apart with the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party of Maurice Kamto, as party officials have raised issues of government intimidation as most of their recent meetings especially in the South, Littoral and Centre regions, have been stopped by prefectoral orders.

However, on the refusal to sign documents of opposition aspirants, Atanga Nji said from his findings, most of those who faced difficulties did not know the required procedures. He revealed those who listened to local administrators updated their files and got their documents signed. He proceeded to say thousands of Cameroonians were eager to take part in the elections.

Maurice kamto had called for a massive boycott of the twin elections on the 25th of November and asked other parties to do same. Elections Cameroon on Monday released the list of candidates and parties to take part in the elections.

Minister Atanga earlier rejected claims from some parties that more time would be given for their aspirants to compile documents, as requested by the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation led by Cabral Libii.
