Nigerian President mohammadu Buhari has traveled to London for medical follow up, the State House has said.

In a Press release late Sunday May 7, 2017 signed by Special Adviser to the President, FEMI ADESINA said Mr Buhari had planned to leave Sunday afternoon but was forced to postpone his trip due to the arrival of 82 Chibok girls.

However the length of the duration is not known but State House says only his doctors will determine.

President Buhari according to his Adviser “wishes to assure all Nigerians that there no cause for worry. He is very grateful for the prayers and good wishes of the people, and hopes they will continue to pray for the peace and unity of the nation.”

FEMI ADESINA has insisted that the government will continue to function with Vice President taking the command.

The sick Buhari whose condition sparked nationwide concern over the leadership future of Nigerians, has sent his file to the Senate and House of Representatives in compliance with section 145(1) of the 1999 constitution.

Last March Mohammadu Buhari spent seven weeks in London battling with undisclosed illness. He had described his sickness as the worst in his entire life.
