Bandjoun (Mifi)- The Minister of Higher Education Professor Maurice Tchuente, has installed a satellite antenna at the Fotso Victor University Institute of Technology in Bandjoun. The ceremony coincided with the handing over of 20 computers to the institution by the Minister, and the signing of a pact by some business operators who promised financial support to the Fotso Victor Institute. According to Minister Tchuente, the internet is to help students and management meet the communication and technological challenges in education and other fields. He noted that the new communication technology will help prepare the students for the employment market. Meanwhile, the Second Assistant Mayor of Bandjoun, Mr Fotso Dominic, remarked that knowledge is power, and that there's an urgent need (at this moment) for Cameroonian youths to play an important role in international communication. He expressed the wish to see students exploit the opportunity offered them in poverty reduction.
