"..United States City Council Finally Declare Southern Cameroons Indepence..."

Lowell is a city in the U.S. Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Located in Middlesex County, Lowell (along with Cambridge) served as a county seat until Massachusetts disbanded county government in 1999.[3] With an estimated population of 109,945 in 2014

By the way here is that city council website. I didn't see any such information.

"Could you please quote or provide the source of the law you are referring to?
That will help me to understand your position."

"Granting independance" doesn't exist in the UN regulations. This is an invention of the SCNC. The legal act is the termination of the trusteeship agreement.

"(2) If you agree that Southern Cameroons was a UN trust, then who was:
(a) The grantor/owner of the trust?
(b) The trustee?
(c) The administrator of the trust?
(d) The beneficiary of the trust? "

No matter the answers of those questions when the trusteeship agreement is terminated there is no more grantor, no more trustee, no more administrator and no more beneficiary. There is only what the former trustee has chose to become.

@Ricky,

You are a DAMN LIAR like every Froggie before you.

You guys are a real DISHONEST bunch and sincerely I still woe the day our grandparents voted to join you DISHONEST COWARDS.

In your DECEITFUL ways, you left out the most important part of UN Resloution 1608(XV):

"........
2. Endorses the results of the Plebiscite that:
(a) The People of the Northern Cameroons have, by a substantial majority, decided to ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE by joining the independent Federation of Nigeria.
(b) The People of the Southern Cameroons have similarly decided to ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE by joining the independent Republic of Cameroun
........"

It is this type of insincerity by you and your ilk that has killed the Kamerun Federation.

All of you Froggies are a disgrace.

@ FirstOctober1961

By law the UN didn't have any authority to grant independance. Let me quote the resolution 1608 again for you.

"The General assembly....decides that the trusteeship agreement of 13 decembre 1946 concerning the Cameroons under United Kingdom administration SHALL BE TERMINATED...with respect to the Southern Cameroon upon its joigning the Republique of Cameroun"

This means the UN acknowldged your choice after the referendum and decided that you will no longer be a its trust but what you have decided to become. The word independance doesn't even appear anywhere in the sentence.

So the Scenario is as follows:
1. you are a UN trust
2. you choose your futur (self determination)
3. If UN acknoledges your choice and votes the termination the trusteeship.
4. You are now what you decided to be.

To better understand the difference between "terminate the trusteeship" and "grant independance" I invited you in another thread to study the decolonisation of Togo in which there had been 3 attempts to terminate the trusteeship.
In the first attempt Togolese had decided by a referendum in 1956 to be part of France and requested the UN to terminate the trusteeship during the 1956-1957 general assembly , but the termination was not voted. After some amendmends in the Togolese institutions another attempt to get the trusteeship terminated failed during 1957-1956 GA.
In the third attempt after the nationalists lead by Olympio won the elections they decided to become an independant country. They then again requested the termination of the trusteeship an got it during the 1958-1959 GA.

"WHEN INJUSTICE BECOMES LAW, RESISTANCE BECOMES A DUTY" This is a true statement with alot of sense in it but allow me to complet it.

"When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes a duty, but a resistance branded by HATRED and caracterised by violence DO NOT carry the heavy burden of justice nor neither that of law!"

"....I was called a terrorist yesterday, but when I came out of jail, many people embraced me, including my enemies, and that is what I normally tell other people who say those who are struggling for liberation in their country are terrorists......."
NELSON MANDELA, President of South Africa.

One day those you call terrorists today will be giving you refuge in the Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia).

The UNION has FAILED.

The KAMERUN FEDERATION is DEAD.

ADIEU mes Chers Froggies.

Always Remember This:
WHEN INJUSTICE BECOMES LAW, RESISTANCE BECOMES A DUTY.

The Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) shall be FREE,

A+

Anatype (Anglofou Atypique)
THE SOUTHERN CAMEROONS SHALL BE INDEPENDENT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

56yrs is a long time to try to stay in a very bad marriage.
If your husband has a mistress France for 56yrs of your marriage he is signing accord with the mistress giving France control of education syllabus, financial reserves, natural resources, currency etc
Now you African, start harassing you wife and all her family to speak French the language of your mistress or die.
How many lives does the Anglophones in Cameroon have? Just one
Is 56yrs not too much to sacrifice?
Remember the lawyers only asked for common law lawyers and judges in the courts in West Cameroon and a school of common law.
The teachers only asked for teachers who are fluent in English to teach in schools in west Cameroon.
How is it possible that French language is more important to the government of Cameroon than the people of West Cameroon?
Yes black Cameroonians who speak French are watching Cameroon fall apart because the government wants black Cameroonians who speak English to learn and speak French to be considered true Cameroonians.
"When Good Men Do Nothing, Evil will Triumph"
We are waiting for the people East of the Mungo to rise up and save Cameroon if not we have no other choice but to try and survive on our own.
Time is running out!

@FirstOctober1961

I carefully read your explanations. Granted.
Indeed, the terms of the union resulted in the Federal Republic of Cameroon. Now, whether or not what happened then in 1972 was legal or illegal is subject to debate but it does not by any means cancel the union established in Foumban following the results of February 1961 referendum. Therefore, as far as I am concerned, you guys are free to provide some regions of Kamerun with the name of Ambazonia or whatever but let's be clear and cristal that it would be for a decentralized Region or a Federal Region but never for an independent nation. Kamerun lost Ambazonia in 1918 but recovered it in 1961, thank God. I understand what guys have been going through as a specific cultural group but Yaounde is to blamed, not Kamerun. We are all part of this beautiful land.

we are leaving because we were never made to live together.
what separate us from you people is much more important than what binds us together.
We have been crying and mourning our loved ones killed by your Gendarmes and you people are happy about it.
The governor of the South West region recently insulted Anglophones to be dogs, and he was never called to order by the government.
Recently internet connections was suspended only in the 2 English speaking regions of the country while the french regions were laughing and beaming with joy.

So you see, there is no reason that we should stay with this blood sucking regime and its time we fight for the future of our children, or else they will become the modern day slaves of LRC.

The UN never granted independance to any country. The UN terminated the trusteeship. Termination of trusteeship is not granting independance."

Your statement is patently false.
You apparently do not know what a TRUST or TRUSTEESHIP is. If you did, then you will not be making such a ridiculous statement
You are either very ignorant of the facts, dishonest or unwilling to learn or accept new information.
I have provided you with documented, independent and verifiable facts in my previous posts but you keep on repeating your fallacious statements.
Your statement will be true in the case of Nigeria, Senegal, Gabon, Chad, Congo, Zambia, Kenya, etc. etc.
But it is demonstrably false in the case of Republic of Cameroun, Southern Cameroons, Togo, Namibia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundu, Papau New Guinea, Somaliland, Western Samoa, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, etc. etc.

I know francophones have been brainwashed to think that French Cameroon was granted independence by France. France had no legal authority to grant French Cameroon independence because French Cameroon was never a french colony.

Southern Cameroons got independent in joining LRC whereas Northern Cameroons decided to join Nigeria in the same token. It was all by referendum and the question by the UN was "would you want be granted independence by joining LRC or by joining Nigeria?"

That is the fact. That is History.
Please, do not try to manipulate the history for your somber agenda."

I am afraid you are the one distorting history because your arguments are based on oral history instead of on documented, verifiable, legal and official documents.

The Two Alternatives (The Plebiscite Questions) that were presented to Southern Cameroons by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 1352 (VIV) of 16th October, 1959, were as follows:

a) Do you wish to achieve independence by joining the independent Federation
of Nigeria?
b) Do you wish to achieve independence by joining the independent Republic of
Cameroun?

You are quick to quote the results of the plebiscite of 11th February 1961 but you have never taken the time to read or study the terms of the union that were offered to Southern Cameroons by both Nigeria and La Republic du Cameroun. Those terms played a determining role in swinging the vote.

Cameroon : Hon. Joseph WIRBA Resigns
SCBCtv

It can now be confirmed that Hon. Joseph B. WIRBA of the SDF has resigned from the parliament of the Republic of Cameroon.
Alafnet.com can confirm that Hon. Joseph B. WIRBA of the SDF has resigned from the parliament of the Republic of Cameroon.

His resignation this afternoon brings the number of Southern Cameroonians serving members of parliament who have decided to stand by their people to five.
All five who have resigned plan to reconvene at Buea. They are:

Hon. Joseph Mbah Ndam – MOMO
Hon. NDONG Larry Hills – Menchum
Hon. Joseph Banadzem
Hon. Bernard FORJU – Lebialem
Hon. WIRBA Joseph – BUI
The two English-speaking regions of Cameroons have just over 56 MPs (20 Senators and 36 Members of National Assembly).

If just 30 should resign and reconvene at Buea, the UN shall give the people of Southern Cameroons a seat.

The worldwide protest organized by the governing council has proven to be the game changer in the Anglophone struggle which began last November. The population is insisting they do not care what political party those who resign belong to, all they want is for MPs to listen to their people.
Ground reports also confirm there is every indication that more than ten MPs must have resigned by the end of today.

Southern Cameroons is already independent. She was granted independence by the United Nations on October 1, 1961.
Southern Cameroons is simply fighting now for the RESTORATION of here independence.

You need to study the history of Cameroon.

Bamenda At Heart of Strike Action Last November Wilson MUSA
