Eneo Cameroon is currently implementing a series of projects in the West Region of Cameroon aimed at giving its customers good quality service.

One of these is the extension of electricity in communities that have not had access to electricity. The company is currently extending electricity to 13 communities amongst them Eveche, Marché B, Leproserie, Mebouti, Chefferie Baleng, Voltaire, Tchitchap, Mbe So Mbe, Tapi Baleng, Kamkop Avocatier, Toulouse Face Mairie, Banengo SOC, Mbeng à Bafou, Bameyam, etc much to the satisfaction of the concerned population.

“Before now we did not have electricity but today we can enjoy it without any problem. We are grateful to Eneo for this. Our kids can now learn without difficulties and of course, we are sure to watch the upcoming CAN in all serenity” noted the village head of Tapi Baleng, one of the areas that benefitted from the electricity extension.

In addition to this, there is also voltage change in the cities of Dschang and Bafang. Eneo has acquired over 61 transformers of 30kv to replace the existing 15kv transformers in these cities.

The city of Bafoussam has also benefitted from the construction of several aerial and underground networks and the construction of a dispatch station. The expected impact of these lines according to Eneo technicians is a reduction in the duration of outages in the event of incidents and the possibilities of the rapid redevelopment of the network.

There has also seen a massive replacement of poles to stabilize the electricity network. Over 7,358 critical poles have been replaced in the West region with over 1,340 of them being concrete poles which analysts say are more durable.

All these projects which are part of Eneo’s 2021 investment program according to the Technical Director of Eneo for the West and North West regions have contributed enormously in improving the availability of the network, limiting the risk of incidents on the lines and transformers, and have improved the quality of service in households.

The company is also at the center of efforts to give football lovers in the region a memorable experience in the upcoming CAN competition.

They have completed and commissioned a dedicated 30kV dedicated electricity line between the Bafoussam source station and the Kuekong Stadium, one of the stadia that will host the competition. The 28 Km line is constructed entirely with concrete poles.
