Libya will have to play their home qualifier against Cameroon for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ on neutral ground.
This was decided by the competition’s Local Organising Committee during their meeting on 28 March 2012 in Zurich.
The decision was motivated by the current volatile situation in Libya, which does not yet provide for the necessary optimum conditions requested for the tournament.
The match, which will be Libya’s second in their Group I campaign in the African Zone qualifiers, is foreseen to be played between 8 and 12 June 2012.
Libya now have until 10 April to nominate a neutral ground.
