Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, 27, is a Cameroonian professional basketball player, playing wing and power forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Apart from being an NBA star, Luc is very dedicated to giving back to the community especially the African community. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is now not only focusing on his professional career but he is also helping the youth back in Cameroon developing their basketball skills through basketball summer camps. At the end of each camp are only selected the most improved and valuable kids who will benefit of a scholarship to attend different high schools in the United Sates to pursue a basketball career and finish their academic journey. This is perhaps why Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o believes Mbah a Moute need encouragement from his own brothers back home. “It is very important for us to know and encourage all those who make us proud beyond our borders. I would like to introduce you to, for those who do not know him yet, my brother Luc Mbah a Moute,” a post on Eto’o’s official Facebook page read. “Encourage him by liking his official page,” the Indomitable Lions’ captain added. Born on 9 September 1986 in Yaoundé, Mbah a Moute is the son of the head of the Cameroonian village of Bia Messe (near Yaounde) and prince of that village. Luc is characterized by a very rough and rigorous defense; what makes him one of the best defenders in the NBA. In the summer of 2013, Milwaukee decides to trade him so he joined the Sacramento Kings with a contract of $ 9 million over two years, and Milwaukee gets two second -round draft picks in exchange. In November 2013, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Derrick Williams. He found there his former teammate from UCLA, Kevin Love, with whom he played the 2007 /2008 season of NCAA.
