Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o is the latest big-draw African footballer to take on the ice bucket challenge after he was nominated by Brazilian and former Chelsea teammate Willian and Nigerian sensational artist Davido.
“Thank you to Davido and Willian for having nominated me for the Ice Bucket Challenge,” Eto’o said after the challenge. “I accept my challenge and I nominate YAYA TOURE, ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC, ALIKO DANGOTE and Djimon Hounsou.”
The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. It went viral throughout social media during mid-2014.
Eto’o who has reportedly set to undertake medical tests for an eventual Liverpool switch stated that: “I am not doing that only to raise awareness of the ALS but Also for EBOLA, please help and Donate,” he added.
