The money will be used to continue reinvesting back to Remember Africa’s pragmatic humanitarian socio-economic development missions.
The president and Chief Executive Officer of Remember Africa Inc, Dr Caroline Hoth has said disclosed that shareholders and employees’ dividends will be paid this year thanks to a subvention from the US Congress.
Dr Hoth was speaking at a press dinner in Yaounde on Wednesday February 22 in the presence of the African representative of the humanitarian organisation, Joe Douxon.
She said her organisation is the first ever structure in the world to have benefitted from such a high subvention.
“It has never happened in any humanitarian organisation’s management history. It will bring sustainable financial investment and economic-equilibrium-support to millions of talented, creative, and hardworking members of our organisation,” Dr Hoth rejoiced.
Remember Africa used the press dinner to also announce the celebration of the National African American History Month on Friday February 24.
The annual event is celebrated in honour important people and events in the history of the African diaspora but according to Joe Douxon, it cannot still be reduced to blacks, but a celebration of achievements.
The RA representative in Africa said the organisation has decided not to talk about the events of the day in order ‘not to let the cat out of the bag.’ He however whispered that Remember Africa has planned for a grandiose event at its Yaounde office on Friday.
