Cameroon: Agbor Balla gets two-year mandate to champion "Good Leadership Advocacy"

International human rights lawyer Nkongho Felix Agbor alias Agbor Balla has been appointed Cameroon country director of Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa, GLAFA.

Agbor Balla’s appointed letter is dated February 12, 2021, and is signed by Dr. O’ODIAKPO Obire, President, Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa, and the pan-African organisation’s executive secretary, Barrister Ezenwa Anumnu.

“We are pleased to formally appoint you as Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa (GLAFA) Country Director, Cameroon for the first term of 2 years,” read the appointment letter addressed to Barrister Nkongho Felix Agbor Balla.

“Being a director, they said, is a position of high responsibility. The board is confident that in you, we have the balance of skills, experience, and leadership qualities necessary to advance opportunities in GLAFA,” the letter said.

According to Dr. O’ODIAKPO, Agbor Balla was appointed owing to his “good character, a strong commitment to the cause, the gift of time and a willingness to use your professional resources to advance the organisation’s mission”.

The GLAFA Board of Governors hopes that the passion that Barrister Agbor Balla has for the organization will sustainably grow and reflect in his performance.

Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa (GLAFA) is a pan-Africa body peopled by intellectuals, professionals, academics, etc who are passionate about good governance and sustainable development of the African continent.

The non-profit organisation is determined to contribute and make positive participation in ensuring purposeful leadership across Africa.

“We are engaging leadership in the 54 countries that make up Africa and the African Union etc. Our mission is to ensure that youths are positively empowered, prepared, and positioned to take over the mantle of leadership across the continent and to make Africa great and self-sustaining,” said Dr. O’ODIAKPO.

Agbor Balla is not new to rendering selfless service to humanity in his quest to salvage the African continent. He is the founding president of the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, CHRDA. He is also Vice President of the African Bar Association in charge of Central Africa.
