The Ambazonia interim government has called for a lockdown for Wednesday, June 19 2019, few days after officially announcing the impeachment of former leader, Sisiku Ayuk Tabe.

After the controversial decision of the Southern Cameroon Restoration Council, appointing Dr. Sako Ikome to lead activities of the revolution over Sisiku Ayuk Tabe, former President of Ambazonia now detained at the Kondegui maximum security prison in Yaoundé.

Dr. Sako called on the people of North West and South West regions, to stay at home through out Wednesday, in view of the trial of their leaders (Sisiku Ayuk and nine others). They are to appeared before the Yaoundé Military Tribunal same Wednesday, although they have been boycotting past court appearances.

In solidarity with the detained leaders, the interim government has ordered that all offices, businesses, schools should remain closed on that day. This announcement comes as a mockery to fans of the impeached Sisiku Ayuk, who consider it an act of hypocrisy.

Some have been questioning why the interim government will show concern to a fellow they said had been compromised by the Cameroonian government. However, others have encouraged the step, stating that unlike Sisiku, Mr. Ikome wouldn’t work under pressure from the Cameroonian government.

The communiqué refers to Ayuk and others as "our leaders", although impeached, which to some is hypocritical since according to them, same people impeached the said Ayuk.

" In view of the trial of our leaders at the Yaoundé Military Tribunal, the Interim Government is declaring a lockdown of Ambazonia on Wednesday, 19th June 2019 only", read the communiqué.

It also ironically calls on schools to remain shut down. Reactions from some analysts have been on what schools are the Interim government talking about, when over two million children are out of school in the North West and South West region.
