The priest says he sees the future of this country in the likes of the young Member of the National Assembly and National President of the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation, CPNR.

In what appears to be an epistle for the youth of Cameroon, Cardinal Tumi on Thursday said: "I do not know if the young people who vaguely and unnecessarily spend their time insulting people see what is happening to Cabral Libii. Succession is assured with Cabral Libii. He works and God helps him to move forward. I am particularly impressed.

“Especially since he stays himself and thinks of Cameroonians who already love him so much. I think he is third in the ranking is already something. This boy has something in him that will help this country and all of Africa in general. Those who are far away will never understand his fight. You have to be there to know that he no longer sleeps.

“It was during the Grand National Dialogue that I noted the intellectual efficiency of this young leader. He knows how to listen and he has just solutions to the dimensions of the problems. God gives to those who seek and ask in honesty.

“He and his comrades are there to help Cameroonians. Let them try to be transparent in managing the little they will perceive. Soon or in the years to come, he Cabral will be president here in Cameroon. As for me, I am convinced! Benedictus!"

Cabral will forever be remembered as founder of “Operation Register 11 million voters” on the electoral lists ahead of this year’s election. He emerged third at the 2018 presidential elections and was recently elected into the National Assembly.

Born on March 29, 1980 at Ekoamaen – Otele in the Centre Region of Cameroon, Cabral was designated by the UNIVERS as its Presidential candidate in 2018. He would later register his own party after the said elections.

Due to the professional life of his parents, Cabral went to school across three Regions viz: Centre, West and South. After completion of his primary studies, he embarked on secondary education and obtained the Baccalaureate at Lycée d’Eseka in 1998 at the age of 18.

Between 2012 and 2014, he studied at the University of Yaounde II, Soa, where he obtained DEA in Community and International Public Law. Since January 2014, he is doing Masters II at the Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC, and at same time doing a Doctorate in International Law in the same university. Professionally, Cabral was Deputy Station Manager in charge of Sports and Culture at Radio Campus of the University of Yaounde II in August 2009. By September 2011, he was promoted as Director of the same radio. Since 2014, he is a Lecturer of International Law in the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Yaounde II, Soa.

In his political life, Cabral was Cofounder and Spokesperson of the National Youth Forum, FONAJEUNE; an association of 1000 to 5000 young people, who stood against the re-election of President Paul Biya.

In 2008, he was President of Coordination of Associations and Cultural Clubs of the University of Yaounde II, designated by his peers.

Between 2008 and 2017, he was member of the Committee in charge of drawing up the Charter of Rights and Obligations of Cameroonian students in the Ministry of Higher Education; Cofounder of the Committee for the Defence of Interests of Students of the University of Yaounde II; Co-founder of the Reawakening Movement of the Bassa-Mpoo-Bati Youths; civil society leader/media activator, amongst others. In May 2017, he founded the “11 Million Citizen Movement.”

Cabral Libii also did consultancy work. In 2011, he was in charge of sensitisation on transparency and financial control in the use of public resources with CONAC.

In March 2013, he was an expert in a study for an international NGO, Afrobarometer, on democracy and governance in Africa and in December 2014, he offered the same services in the Littoral and Far North Regions.

He has also extensively provided his services in media houses in and out of Cameroon notably Equinox Radio in Douala, TV Vox Africa, Vision4 TV, and Signature Newspaper. In November 2016, and November 2017, he was resource person on human rights training with International Centre on Human Rights Education, EQUITAS.

Cabral also has a number of publications to his credit.
