Mr. Baongla Arrested by Yaoundé Judicial Police Internet
Reports say Georges Gilbert Baongla, who declared himself son to the President of the Republic, has been arrested in Yaoundé, on his way to the airport.

He was arrested yesterday Wednesday May 29, and has spent a night so far, at the Judicial police in the nation's capital Yaoundé.

From every indication, his arrest had been in the pipeline, as his every move was followed from Hotel Mont Febe where he resides to the streets of Yaoundé, by elements of judicial police.

His stay at the hotel is not coincidental, as he was kicked out of his house by the landlord for failing to pay his rents, a claim he denied, stating it was politically motivated.

Mr. Baongla has made several media outings, condemning the regime for mismanagement of resources and the ongoing crises in Cameroon.

Although no one knows yet why he was arrested, Baongla recently fell apart with the proprietor of the television station,Vision4. It is reported that a defamation law suit dropped by Mr. Amougou Belinga could have caused his arrest.

Baongla had declared the intention to one day rule Cameroon and correct the wrongs of his father. Since his declaration on his paternity, President Paul Biya has never recognised him.
